Without a doubt, one of the most exciting parts of being in NYU Precollege is experiencing all that New York City has to offer! It’s no wonder that NYU is known to be “in and of the City.”
There are countless things to do in the City, let alone in Greenwich Village itself where NYU is located. It would be impossible to list them all here, but we can certainly recommend some fun activities!
You may not have time to accomplish visiting all of these landmarks, but we hope this list helps you decide where to go:
Statue of Liberty
Empire State Building
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met)
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMa)
The American Museum of Natural History
One of the best ways to explore the city is through the tastes and smells of its countless food offerings. New York City is considered by many to be the cultural capital of the world, which means that you’ll find any type of food you want: whether it’s Chinese, Indian, Italian, or classic NYC fare, or whether you keep Kosher, Halal, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, you will find a bounty of options to enjoy! Check out Buzzfeed’s 21 Must-Eat NYC foods under $10 for a great starting point of food to sample in NYC.
Precollege offers its own variety of events and programs for you to enjoy during your time here in NYC, such as Broadway show tickets, sporting games, neighborhood explorations, and more! Residential and commuter students alike are welcome to participate! Keep an eye out for our calendar of Precollege outings.
